Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician is directly responsible for collecting, reporting, and analyzing quality data, metrics, and communications.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Long periods of sitting and working at a computer are required, with regular exposure to the factory. Sedentary work is performed in an office with little to no exposure to extreme weather or hazardous conditions. Typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop, and phone are used. May be noisy due to proximity to factory. This position requires regular exposure to the factory, which includes extreme weather conditions; noisy, dusty, and dirty environments; and motorized equipment that pose potential safety hazards. Reaching above shoulder height and below the waist, as well as lifting up to 30 lbs. is required. Proper safety procedures, lifting techniques, and personal protective equipment guidelines are always to be followed. This position may require extended hours and overtime depending on business needs. Travel may be requested to any company manufacturing and branch locations in the US and Canada.
The Quality Assurance Technician is directly responsible for collecting, reporting, and analyzing quality data, metrics, and communications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain documents and reports including inspections, quality checks, and potential issues.
- Perform equipment calibrations.
- Conduct routine quality inspections throughout the production process, including in-process and final inspections.
- Assist with problem resolutions and suggesting new process improvements.
- Ability to use measurement tools to ensure product specifications are followed (Tape measure, micrometers, calipers etc).
- Perform spot check products and analyze findings.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient mathematical and computer skills (Excel)
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Education, Training, Experience
- High School Diploma or GED certification
- 0-2 years’ experience in manufacturing or production; Knowledge of quality principles, capability analysis, corrective actions, etc. is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings
